Dr Bhaskar Bora - Speaker, Author
Dr Bhaskar Bora, MBBS, MRCGP, DFSRH, DRCOG, MBA (International Healthcare Management) from the University of Cumbria, MSc in Psychology, ongoing from the University of Wolverhampton Originally from Guwahati, he has been based in London for the last 19 years. He is a Speaker and Bestselling Author
After completing the medical specialisations, he joined as a partner in a Primary Care clinic and then expanded to 5 clinics and 2 primary care dispensaries in London. He started his entrepreneurial journey in 2009, initially with the expansion of the health clinics and dispensaries and then with real estate investment. He became the first Assamese to launch a cocktail bar and restaurant in London by the name of Samsara Cocktail Bar and Restaurant. but rLife, however, had different plans.
Following an operation that went wrong, Dr Bora became paralysed in both legs in July 2019 and then got diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid. Since then he has become permanently disabled and mostly needs a wheelchair to mobilise or walking aids. Rather than giving up, he started a new chapter in his life of reflection, inspiration and philanthropy.
He published his first book called The Second Chance in Life, which has now achieved Bestseller status in six categories internationally on Amazon. It is available as a paperback, kindle eBook and Audiobook on Amazon and Flipkart. He has recently published his second book – Reflections from the Heart – Anthology of 100 Poems and now the Assamese version of his book Jibonor Dwitiyo Sujug has become a successful release.
Following the success of his books, he is now an international motivational speaker, a Disability Campaigner, Cancer Advocate and Mentor for several people and start-ups. In this second chance in his life, he has been working with several national and international charitable organizations.
